Welcome to Pomelo. Pomelo is a meal planning app that helps users save recipes, plan meals, and create grocery lists.
By using Pomelo, you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. Beta Product
Pomelo is currently in beta. This means the app may contain bugs, incomplete features, inaccurate outputs, or changes over time.
We may add, remove, or change features during the beta period.
2. Your Account
You may need to create an account to use Pomelo. You are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for activity that happens under your account.
You agree to provide accurate account information and to use Pomelo only for lawful purposes.
3. Your Content
You may add, upload, import, or save recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, photos, documents, notes, and other content to Pomelo.
You are responsible for the content you upload or save. You should only upload content that you have the right to use.
Pomelo does not claim ownership of your content. You give Pomelo permission to process, store, display, and use your content as needed to provide the app’s features.
4. Recipes and Imported Content
Pomelo may allow you to import recipes from links, text, documents, screenshots, or photos.
Pomelo is intended to help you organize recipes for personal use. You may not use Pomelo to copy, publish, distribute, or republish content in a way that violates another person’s rights.
Recipe extraction may not be perfect. You are responsible for reviewing imported ingredients, quantities, instructions, allergens, and other recipe details before using them.
5. Grocery Lists, Meal Plans, and Nutrition Information
Pomelo may generate grocery lists, meal plans, servings, prep steps, or nutrition-related information.
These outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not suitable for your specific needs. You are responsible for checking quantities, ingredients, allergens, food safety, and dietary requirements.
Pomelo does not provide medical, nutritional, allergy, or health advice.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Pomelo for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Upload content that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Attempt to access another user’s account or data.
- Interfere with Pomelo’s security, systems, or operation.
- Use Pomelo to publish or distribute copied recipes or copyrighted materials without permission.
7. Third-Party Services
Pomelo may use third-party services for hosting, authentication, analytics, database storage, email, and other app operations.
These services may include providers such as Supabase, Vercel, Google, PostHog, and email providers.
Your use of third-party login options, such as Google Sign-In, may also be subject to those providers’ terms and policies.

11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pomelo and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the app.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app or by other reasonable means.
Your continued use of Pomelo after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
